This is a Journey

Back To List

This time last year I was working on a photo series depicting what it was like to be a victim of human trafficking. I've heard many stories of human trafficking, but working on this story brought the intensity of this world to a new level.

Upon completing it, I found myself sitting in a counselors office, unsure how to keep moving forward.

I learned again that some things are hard to see, but are so worth seeing.

It took a little time to heal up, but I think that's what happens when you choose to tell stories that shouldn't be, but are. Some truths are hard to swallow, but shouldn't be ignored. Sometimes you have to go sit in someone else's pit before you can help them climb out of it.
