We value excellence\, integrity\, initiative\, and storytelling that honors the people and communities we serve. \nPosition Summary\nSOS International is seeking a Marketing Coordinator with a strong emphasis on writing\, email marketing\, and fundraising communications. This role is ideal for a confident\, skilled writer who understands how words move people to action and who takes ownership of donor-facing communication strategies. \nKey Responsibilities\nWriting & Fundraising Communications\n\nServe as the primary writer for donor-facing communications\, including fundraising emails\, appeals\, updates\, impact stories\, and campaign messaging\nTranslate ministry stories\, field updates\, and partner initiatives into compelling\, donor-centered narratives\nEnsure all written communications align with SOS International’s brand voice\, theology\, and values. They will edit\, refine\, and adapt messaging for different audiences\, channels\, and fundraising goals\n\nEmail Marketing & Donor Journeys \n\nOwn the design\, execution\, and ongoing improvement of donor journeys and lifecycle strategies\, bringing forward ideas\, testing approaches\, and recommendations that increase engagement and giving\nPlan\, write\, and execute email campaigns tied to fundraising goals\, seasonal initiatives\, and organizational priorities\, and monitor email performance\, engagement\, and donor response\, applying insights to improve future campaigns\n\nPublic Relations & External Communications\n\nDraft and distribute press releases that highlight SOS International’s work\, community impact\, and partner initiatives\nSupport external storytelling efforts that elevate the organization’s visibility and credibility\, and collaborate with partners and leadership to ensure messaging is timely\, accurate\, and aligned\n\nCRM & Campaign Support\n\nManage CRM systems with accuracy\, including segmentation\, data hygiene\, and follow-up workflows\nSupport fundraising campaigns through coordinated messaging\, timelines\, and execution\nMaintain content calendars and ensure consistent communication across channels\n\nEvents & Relationship Building\n\nSupport the promotion\, planning\, and execution of fundraising and awareness events\nServe as a warm\, confident ambassador for SOS International in donor and public-facing settings\n\nCollaboration & Leadership Support\n\nWork closely with a fast-paced\, highly engaged leader who values initiative\, trust\, and thoughtful collaboration\nBring forward ideas\, identify gaps or opportunities\, and execute with excellence\nOperate independently when leadership is traveling\, while adhering to organizational standards and systems\n \n\nQualifications\nRequired\n\nBachelor’s degree in Marketing\, Communications\, English\, Public Relations\, or a related field OR equivalent experience\nDemonstrated experience writing donor-facing\, fundraising\, or audience-driven content\nStrong copywriting\, editing\, and storytelling skills with close attention to detail\nExperience with email marketing platforms\, CRM systems\, and content workflows\nAbility to manage multiple projects\, meet deadlines\, and work independently\n\nPreferred\n\nBilingual (English/Spanish strongly preferred)\nNonprofit and/or fundraising experience\nExperience writing press releases or supporting PR initiatives\nUnderstanding of donor psychology\, engagement strategies\, or lifecycle marketing\nComfort collaborating with designers\, partners\, and external stakeholders\n \n\nIdeal Candidate Profile\nThe Ideal candidate is a self-starter who does not wait for direction and takes ownership of outcomes. They have strong writing and understand how messaging drives engagement and giving. They are Relational and comfortable representing an organization publicly\, as well as organized\, adaptable\, and able to shift priorities in a fast-moving environment.
