We believe in providing a safe and secure environment for children and so do our friends at Christ's Haven for Children. They are dedicated to showing foster children what a safe and secure household looks like.

Volunteers are needed to help with landscape around the campus, housekeeping/cleaning projects in cottages, office help, decorating/planning for special events and more!  A great opportunity for a group to spend some time together and help the houseparents!

Available Dates and times:
1 PM- 4 PM
Second Friday of every other month (March 9, May 11, July 13, November 9)

Volunteer: Help new mothers in crisis-Group Activities

Keller, TX

We believe every child should be secure and loved, and that includes unborn children as well. Our friends at Pregnancy Help 4 U join us in this belief!

Volunteer Needs:

*Help by hosting a baby shower at your church to bless thier clients in need.

*Participate in a baby bottle fund raising campaign.

*Help organize the Mommy Gift Room

*Decorate sonogram pictures

Either activity is a fun way to get your church involved this year.

Volunteer: Support Women and Children in Crisis

Grapevine, TX

We believe in providing a safe and secure environment for children and so do our friends at The Gatehouse.

There are several areas you can volunteer to help them get settled in and to provide hope during this difficult time for them. Some areas require a committment to help with consistency and to help build trust as they fight through thier difficult situation.

Volunteer Areas:

Tutoring (various subjects)

Welcome Team (provide consistent positive examples for families)

Student Enrichment Program: (field trips, clasees and community involvement)

Apartment Inspection (weekly inspections to help assess cleanliness and organization)

Housekeeping Instruction (teach how to clean and organize apartments and cars)

Support Group Meals (bring a monthly meal to support group or provide dinner to needed family)

All opportunties are open to both men and women.  Background checks are required prior to volunteering.

Volunteer: Assemble care packages for girls being sexually exploited

Colleyville, TX

We believe that the intentional building of relationships helps to restore the well-being of a person and so do our friends at Valiant Hearts.

Join us as we help Valiant Hearts assemble gifts of lotion, earrings, and lip gloss to deliver to girls working in the sex industry on Outreach Night. While there, you will also pray for the girls and for God's provision over their Outreach team.

Upcoming Dates:

Monday, March 19th

Each event runs from 4pm-9pm. Each volunteer would select a 2 hour slot with the following start times:

4PM, 4:30PM, 5PM, 5:30PM, 6PM, 6:30PM, 7PM

Coffee provided. For non coffee drinkers, please feel free to bring your own water bottle or soda.

Volunteer: Assist with Homeless Birthday Parties

Fort Worth, TX

We believe that the intentional building of relationships helps to restore the well-being of a person and so do our friends at The Net.

Volunteers needed to help host a birthday party for all of the street families whose birthdays are in that particular month. You will share a meal, spend time celebrating each person, and eat birthday cake! This a time to build true friendships with folks in the homeless community.

Volunteer: Resale Outlet Assistance

Keller, TX

We believe education gives children the tools to fight poverty and prevent disease. Community Storehouse shares this belief with us.

The Outlet helps Community Storehouse with their different programs throughout the year.  Volunteers will be helping with set up displays, assist customers, and assist staff with merchandise.

Volunteer: Stock the Pantry

Lewisville, TX

We believe in building healthy families and one way to do that is by fighting food insecurity. The Christian Community Action helps low-income families by providing a food pantry that they can attend after they receive a voucher.

It is the largest client choice pantry in North Texas and serves roughly 500 families a week. 

Volunteer Days and Times:


Mon- Thur 8am- 8:30pm (various shifts)

Fri 8am- 5 pm (various shifts)

Sat 8am- 2pm 

Duties:

*Organize and restock freezers, refrigerators and shelves
*Sort can goods or packaged goods
*Price all non-food items before placing them on the shelves
*Remove excess items and return them to the warehouse
*Remove and discard expired food and severely dented can goods
*Remove all returned items from the checkout counter and replace them on the appropriate shelves
*Arrange carts in an orderly manner
*Repackage small items as necessary
*Clean refrigerators, freezers, shelves, fixtures and cashier/checkout counters
*Sweep and mop as needed
*Discard trash as needed
*Breakdown and restack empty boxes or prepare empty boxes for recycling

Qualifications:

Must be a minimum of 12 years of age to volunteer
Must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer without an adult

Volunteer: Food Donation Pickups

Denton, TX

We believe that every child should have access to safe water and we believe children should have enough food to live an active and healthy life. Our friends at Our Daily Bread share this belief with us.

Volunteer needed for Walmart/Target Food Pickup

Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

Time: 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM

Join our "Team" drivers to transport food donations from the Hickory Creek Walmart (at Swisher and I35) and Target (5959 Long Prairie Road, Flower Mound).

Drivers must meet these requirements:

  • Own a pickup or SUV
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Available one day a week or twice monthly

This is a great service opportunity for church groups or organizations who would like to alternate the duties.  Will you help in making sure that no one in our community goes hungry?

Volunteer: Food Drive

DFW Metroplex

We believe that every child should have access to safe water and should have enough food to live an active and healty life.

We work alongside 10 food pantries within the DFW metroplex and the constant struggle is to keep their shelves full. The need in our area for assistance with food is huge; however, it is also a simple need to fill.

Will you join us in conducting a food drive in your area? The food drive will benefit people in our community who need it.

Volunteer: Donation Area and Store Assistance

Haltom City, TX

We believe that every child should have access to safe water and children should have enough food to live an active and healthy life. And so do our friends at The Joseph Storehouse.

Volunteers are needed to help with areas such as: sorting through donations, stocking shelves, running the cash registers, pricing items, unloading shipments, etc.

There is someething for all to help with.  Yes even children and families of any size (1-200 at a given time).  There is something for everyone here!
