Volunteer: Holiday Restaurant Team: New Volunteers

Fort Worth, TX

We believe childen should have enough food to live an active and healthy life. We are proud to partner with Taste Project to help end food insecurity in Fort Worth!

The Holiday Restaurant Team is looking for new volunteers to join their teams and learn New learn first hand from trained leaders.

Kitchen Teams focus on cleaning, chopping, and preparing raw ingredients. 

Please note, after training is complete, other shifts will be available throughout the holidays.

  • Welcome Team

    • Saturday, November 2nd and Saturday, December 7th

    • 10:30AM- 1:30PM

    • Areas: Lobby Attendant, Greeters, Host/Hostess

 

  • Service Team

    • Saturday, November 9th and Saturday, December 14th

    • 10:30AM- 1:30PM

    • Areas: Busser, Food Runner, Server

 

  • Kitchen Team

    • Saturday, November 23rd and Saturday, December 21st

    • 10:30AM- 1:30PM

    • Areas: Food Prep, Prep Cooks, Line Cooks

Volunteer: Bingo & Bagels

Fort Worth, TX

We believe that the intentional building of relationships helps to restore the well-being of a person and so do our friends at The Net.

Every Friday morning we share breakfast and play bingo with those chronically experiencing homelessness. It is a time to play bingo and show them they have a commnity that cares.

Volunteer: Survivor Support Group Meal

Fort Worth, TX

We believe that the intentional building of relationships helps to restore the well-being of a person and so do our friends at The Net.

Survivor Support Group is a safe place to share struggles, be known, celebrate victories and heal, no matter where each woman is at on her journey. This weekly group starts with a shared meal followed by honest conversation and accountability led by survivor leaders.

Volunteers are needed to bring a meal for 25 adults (home-cooked or catered). Food brings women to the table and helps create community as they start their healing process.

Volunteer: Loads of Hope (Donation Center)

Grand Prairie, TX

We believe that every child should have access to safe water and we believe children should have enough food to live an active and healthy life.

Loads of Hope receives corporate donated goods from food to hygiene to medical supplies.  The donations are sorted and distributed to local non-profits.

Volunteers are needed to help in 2 areas:

*Sort donations and inventory of the items received

*Pull orders for the local non-profits before their scheduled pick up  


**Dates and times depend on shipment but are usually weekdays between 9:30AM and 3:00PM.

If you would like to help, please let us know and we will let you know the upcoming days we will be at the warehouse.

Volunteer: Front Desk

Dallas, TX

We believe that the intentional building of relationship helps to restore the well-being of a child. Our friends at KCBIFM also joins us in this belief.

You can contribute to the day-to-day operations by covering the front desk during lunch.  Duties will include taking phone calls, assisting callers with their questions or helping visitors at the radio station.

Must be at least 17 years of age.  Background check is required for all volunteers.

Volunteer: Prayer Center

Dallas, TX

We believe that the intentional building of relationship helps to restore the well-being of a child. Our friends at KCBIFM also joins us in this belief.

Share the love of Jesus through the power of prayer for those who request it. Undergo online training to help in the KCBI Prayer Center at various events or during a time of crisis.

You will be called on an as-needed basis.

Volunteer: Promotional Events

DFW Metroplex

We believe that the intentional building of relationship helps to restore the well-being of a child. Our friends at KCBIFM also joins us in this belief.

It is always fun to help setup, staff the KCBI Booth, load and unload the KCBI can and other duties at KCBI concerts and promotional events.  We would love to have you part of this team on an as-needed basis.

The events are anywhere is DFW and the summer is filling up with events.  

Must be at least 17 years of age to volunteer.

We believe in providing a safe and secure environment for children and so do our friends at Alliance for Children. 

Volunteers are needed to help at one of our various centers (Fort Worth, Arlington, Hurst) by:

  • Greeting clients
  • Assisting clients by directing phone calls and appointments
  • Interacting and engaging the children in the lobby
  • Helping out with other center/office related projects

 

Volunteer Days and Times:

For Centers: Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 5:00PM

For Counseling Centers: Monday through Thursday, 9:00AM to 7:00PM

All volunteers must complete an application, pass background check and attend a training/orientation before volunteering.
