Volunteer: Stock the Pantry

We believe education gives children the tools to fight poverty and prevent disease. Our friends over at Community Storehouse joins us in this believe.  Are you looking for a place for you or your small group to plug in to serve? Community Storehouse needs help in their food pantry.

Volunteer: Assemble care packages for girls being sexually exploited

Colleyville, TX

We believe that the intentional building of relationships helps to restore the well-being of a person. Join us for we help Valiant Hearts assemble gifts of lotion, earrings, and lip gloss to deliver to girls working in the sex industry on Outreach Night. While there, you will also pray for the girls in the clubs and for God's provision over their Outreach team.

Assembly of the packages dates will vary, but always run from 6pm-8pm. Coffee provided, bring your own water bottle or soda. Come anytime you are available as stay as long as you want. All volunteers are welcome for this opportunity.

Volunteer: Help Merchandise a Resale Shop

North Richland Hills, TX

We believe education gives children the tools to fight poverty and prevent disease. Community Storehouse shares this belives with us.

Community Storehouse has opened a new resale shop to help support their programs and services. They need volunteers to assist in the store 4 hours per week. This is a great activity for a group of two or three friends. Duties are to set up displays and assist customers in finding what they need. Store hours at Hope's Closet are 10:00am-8:00pm Tue-Sat

Volunteer: Office Assistant

Loyal volunteers are always needed in the administrative department at Christian Community Action for short and long term project management. Qualified volunteers assist with coordinating, planning, and/or creating short and long term projects for CCA clients, programs, events and services.

Volunteer: Help Organize Donations at a Donation Center

Proceeds from Christian Community Action's four reSale stores provide roughly 52% in gross revenue to the ministry's operating budget each year. Volunteers assist with general retail tasks which include hanging clothing, sorting through donated housewares, customer service and more!

Volunteer: Stock the Pantry

Lewisville, TX

We believe in building healthy families. One way to that is by fighting food insecurity. The Christian Community 

Action helps low-income families by providing a food pantry that they can attend after they receive a voucher.

It is the largest client choice pantry in North Texas and serves roughly 500 families a week. Volunteers assist with greeting clients and cashiering; keeping the pantry stocked, organized and clean, as well as sorting our many donated items. 

Duties:

*Organize and restock freezers, refrigerators and shelves
*Sort can goods or packaged goods
*Price all non-food items before placing them on the shelves
*Remove excess items and return them to the warehouse
*Remove and discard expired food and severely dented can goods
*Remove all returned items from the checkout counter and replace them on the appropriate shelves
*Arrange carts in an orderly manner
*Repackage small items as necessary
*Clean refrigerators, freezers, shelves, fixtures and cashier/checkout counters
*Sweep and mop as needed
*Discard trash as needed
*Breakdown and restack empty boxes or prepare empty boxes for recycling

Qualifications:

Must be a minimum of 12 years of age to volunteer
Must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer without an adult

Volunteer: Help Families in Crisis learn Housekeeping Skills

Grapevine, TX

We believe in providing a safe and secure environment for children, and so does our friends at The Gatehouse.
