Mentorship is one of the most effective ways to secure an at-risk child! Last year, counselors, teachers, and principals from Keller ISD, all expressed to us the need for a solid mentor program but had no way to add this to their curriculum. So we did some homework and put in place a mentor program for elementary school students. With hundreds of activity-based lessons covering more than 30 critical social and emotional skills, students learn:
Cómo comunicar eficazmente
Cómo tomar decisiones con conocimiento de causa
Cómo establecer y alcanzar objetivos
Cómo resolver los conflictos y los problemas
Cómo respetarse mutuamente
¡Y más!
Have you ever had a mentor? Someone who believes in you and helps you navigate the challenges of life. If so, you know how vital this role is. If not, you might understand the desire to have someone in your corner cheering you on. This school year, we want to invite you to jump in and help kiddos in Keller ISD. We know the importance of your time and investment which is why we are committed to giving you the tools you need to be a successful mentor. With this organized and detailed curriculum, you can help shape and mold their decisions to be successful. Here’s what to expect:
Formación completa (1 hora) sobre el plan de estudios del semestre
Todo el material necesario para cada lección
Un compromiso de 1 día/semana (45 minutos por semana)
