For at-risk children who partake in the Free And Reduced Lunches Program in school, summer is a hard time of year because they miss out on two of their daily meals. You might not know this, but 1 in 5 children in Texas are food insecure.
When Irwin Steel LLC learned about the need in their DFW communities, they were ready to take action. They wanted to make an impact and provided nearly 8,000 meals to these precious kiddos. The smiles on these children’s faces as they play soccer, make friendship bracelets, and play Safety Bingo, make the hot summer days worth it.
We are so grateful for Irwin Steel LLC and the passion to see their community transformed! We can not do this without invested community members like them.
