Warehouse Associate
This is a part-time position.
SOS International is committed to developing sustainable solutions to the problems that at-risk children face every day. We are committed to being a voice that calls a community to rally around these solutions. This position contributes to our mission by supporting our community partners and their order pick-ups from our warehouse donations. This is a part-time position, 15-20 hours per week with occasional Saturday shifts.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Act with integrity and knowledge that promotes the culture, values, and mission of SOS International
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor at all times
- Deliver legendary customer service at all times
- Adhere to SOS International operational policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all volunteers, donors, and staff
- Prepare donations for transport
- Assist local care partners with loading donations they are picking up
- Perform sorting and organization of donations at the warehouse
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse at all times
- Support the Warehouse Manager with updating the Loads of Hope database with accurate information when needed
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance; to include tracking of hours worked
- Support Community Outreach Coordinator with serve projects
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Community Outreach
Qualifications
- Ability to lift/move at least 50 lbs safely with reasonable accommodations
- Ability to operate a pallet jack, hand truck, and other warehouse equipment
- Computer skills needed: basic understanding of MS Excel for data entry and reference, the ability
to navigate Google Docs, knowledge of MS Word and GMAIL
