We have the honor of working with so many incredible donors and seeing first-hand the amazing ways that people are giving back in the midst of this coronavirus season. As we go into the end of a very long and challenging year, it’s natural for all of us to look for moments of connection and impact. As you look at ways to make a difference in someone else’s life this year end, here are a few ideas for creative ways you can give:
Bespoke Serving Opportunities for teams* and individuals: We are working with more and more companies to create small, unique opportunities for their teams to serve together. This approach allows for covid safety protocols and is a great way to team build within your staff, while lending a helping hand in the community. After the year so many have had, this is a great way to hit the “reset” button and make a difference. There are also lots of individual opportunities here.
Donating Appreciated Assets**: This tool allows you, as the donor to receive the value of the donation while lawfully avoiding tax on the gain. This allows you to give a larger gift and get a larger deduction.
The CARES (Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Securities) Act**: This act was passed to encourage charitable giving in the midst of the pandemic. It opens up significant tax and charitable giving benefits only for this year, increasing available deductions on your charitable giving.
Virtual Angel Trees: Check out our Virtual Angel Tree. These toys will go directly to help a family in need this holiday season.
#GivingTuesday: Tuesday December 1, 2020, is a national day to give back. Thanks to a generous sponsor, your #givingtuesday gift will be matched dollar for dollar! This is a fun way to kick off the holiday season and double the impact of your giving.
These are just a few of the ways you can give back this holiday season.
We have a team ready to help you make the most of these opportunities to help and we hope you will jump in and give back with us this holiday season.
